Lisa Fowler is to make a dramatic return to EastEnders.

The character, played by Lucy Benjamin, was last seen in March after Phil Mitchell snatched baby Louise from her.

As she was left sobbing on a clifftop in Portugal, he warned if she ever returned to Walford he would tell police she had once shot him.

But Lisa will return to haunt him in an explosive storyline later this summer.

According to The Sun, she is hell bent on revenge and desperate to get her daughter back.

Lucy said: "I couldn't believe it when I got a call to ask if I would return to Walford.

"I didn't think Lisa would give up baby Lou without one last fight."

It is not known for how long Lisa will be back. But her return could spark Phil's disappearance from Albert Square - actor Steve McFadden is taking a year off from November.

An EastEnders spokesman said: "Lisa loves Louise more than anything - and there's going to be fireworks between her and Phil."
